
CONTOUR WORKSHOP
This one day workshop is aimed at experienced navigators wanting to extend their skills in reading the landscape and interpreting contours on maps. Ideally you will be familiar with the basics of how contours represent relief on the ground and able to identify major land features such as valleys, hills, ridges and plateaus.
Primarily aimed at leaders and instructors, this workshop is open to anyone with an interest in developing this area of their navigational skill.

Workshop Details
The day is fully practical and will all take place outside. A review of the basics of contour navigation will lead into an exploration of how we read the ground in detail and link what we see on the ground to the map. using a combination of mappingincluding 'contour only' maps.
