The Hill Skills and Mountain Skills courses are your key to getting started in countryside and mountain walking. There is no experience of hill walking required to attend a course because the content of the course is aimed at beginners. If you do have some experience of hill walking but aren’t confident about planning walks, navigating and understanding the equipment required, then the Hill /Mountain Skills course is an ideal way to learn.
We aim to make all of our courses enjoyable and informative. We also have a policy of making reasonable adjustments to ensure that our courses are as accessible as possible.

Our Mountain Skills Courses are run on demand and are often incorporated into wider training packages for students, youth groups and prospective leaders. We can deliver courses in all the major UK mountain areas including The Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia, Lake District and Scotland.
