Gavin Kelly


Began climbing at the age of 7.  Following education he quickly gravitated to a career in the outdoor industry, working for a number of centres before becoming freelance and creating Ibex Outdoor.  Helping people to grow and develop has been central to his passion for instructing and is the thread that runs through his career.  Along side his outdoor Career he served with the Army Reserve in the UK and Overseas and commanded the Recruit Training Team for the SW.  He holds the MIA, is a certified coach and member of the Chartered Management Institute and coaches the GB Paraclimbing Team.

Darren 'Swifty' Swift


At 17 Swifty joined the Royal Marines where he quickly developed his love of climbing and the mountains.  For most of his career he has pursued his passion which has taken him all over the world including expeditions to Denali and Mt Hunter in Alaska, Island Peak, Makalu and Everest in Nepal; the later of which resulted in being awarded the Royal Humane Society Silver and Gold (Stanhope) Medals for the Rescue of a fellow climber.   He holds the MIC and appears to spend more time on the rock than at home!  Swifty's relaxed manner combined with his wealth of experience makes for a great day out whatever you choose to do.
